Armando`s Mexican Food in Abilene

It's one of the first places I have found in Abilene to have authentic tasting Mexican food. The street tacos with carnitas were great! Went with my fiancée on Saturday evening, and it was not crowded at all! Free chips and salsa as well. Highly recommend trying this place.

Great street tacos. I wish they had a couple more meat options like El pastor, lengua, cabeza etc.

Been here a few times in the last year. Food is mediocre, i normally get the carne asada tacos and they taste way too salty and just not that great i have to drown the tacos in lime juice and salsa and cilantro. Literally a salsa a taco and now they've started charging 39 cents per salsa to go. The salsa was literally the only thing decent here. I'd look elsewhere if you're looking for some Mexican food. Their customer service is horrible and everytime i would ask the guy for extra cilantro on my tacos I'd get practically nothing. I have to go to the store and get my own cilantro to put on the tacos. Go elsewhere. Trust me. The food is not that good and with the new 39 cents per salsa thing makes it even less worth it.

A tasty lunch date. I have a hard time finding Spanish rice I enjoy and I was pleasantly surprised by the rice here. Friendly staff, good food, nice environment. Room for improvement, but all in all well worth a trip.

A hidden gem in Abilene. While Armando's has been here for a little while this was our first visit. WOW! Generous portions and everything tasted great. This is not a fancy high end restaurant but rather a good, clean and comfortable restaurant to enjoy great Mexican food and time with friends and family. I had the 5 street tacos and my wife had the #4 which was a tostada and an enchilada. Great lunch and I am looking forward to my next visit.

Really good soapailla. Taco salad was average, tortilla a bit too crispy. Chicken enchilada sauce, red green or queso, no sour cream sauce.

Armando's was excellent. We received our food fresh, hot and fast! We ate carnitas tacos which we're juicy and tasty; asada fries which had lots of fresh carne, cheese and fries! Yummy. Try. This. Place!!The family and I were staying in Abilene for an extended period of time and had to find restaurants with great food and prices. Armando's delivered on both!

I ordered their Asada Fries and it ok. There was something that had a funny taste to it. Not sure if it was the meat, the sour cream, guacamole or what but it wasn't right. They have good chips and salsa though. I haven't tried everything on the menu but I wouldn't mind go back and trying out something else.

Best Street Tacos and Corn in town. We have ordered three times and each street taco flavor is amazing. Picture shows three different orders of street taco - so you definitely get plenty!

Buffet was very disappointing. No tacos. No shredded cheese. Very small selection to choose from. Almost $40 for 2 people. Should have been much better. Casa Herrera would have been cheaper, but we were looking for better quality. Didn’t find it here. 👎🏻

Its affordable, authentic, delicious, and they always get your food out quickly!!! They have a variety of mexican drinks and desserts and a chips and salsa bar. Highly recommend, it's a regular for my family!

Fresas con crema that's all you need to know. The menudo is delicious and served daily, tacos are great. I would steer clear from the tamales though

One of my favorite places for Tacos, I've had multiple items off the menu and they're all delicious. The Horchata is also really good! Definitely reccomend

The food was as expected but the service was lacking In proper training and the language barrier work in there favor um yes we had. 30$ lunch Forty if they work for a tip but just to say pore communication is not a new issue they knew exactly where the 47$ error lies 17$ is a lot is cash today.sneeks and cheaters.

A few of my coworkers and I made orders online, paid our orders separately. When we sent someone to pick up the orders they piled them all into one huge bag and my order was messed up. I was missing a burtiyo and I still got charged full price even though I called to dispute the order.

I got the steak tacos to go this is the first time I've been here and I'm definitely going back. You can't beat this place loved the taco's and I got beans rice 2 steak tacos and a large drink for $10.65. I recommend this restaurant thank you for the great food and fast and friendly service

We've visited Armando's twice now and both times have been great. First time, we were there for dinner and had the street tacos. The food was great, the young lady who works up front and takes the orders is very friendly and helpful. Overall, great experience. This second visit, we tried the Sunday buffet and couldn't be happier with it. The food is awesome. They have delicious menudo, a great selection of seasoned meats and sauce. The rice is very good and the refried beans were very tasty. Definitely recommend the buffet to anyone looking to enjoy a variety of delicious, authentic Mexican food.

I got a carne asada burrito and an order of street tacos. They tasted so good that I went back again the next day! The burrito was juicy and well cooked. Good size too, definitely worth it. This was my first time having street tacos and they were amazing! You get 5 in an order, which is great. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, but I'd definitely eat these any day. Also, a squeeze of lime is just *chef kiss*The service was fast and the last working the register was accommodating and very nice. I highly recommend this place for great food. They also have a salsa bar~

This place has really good food. And it does not take long to get served. If you are not looking for a fancy place to dine, just some good food, try it. It is the place that used to be the old Taco Bueno and they have not changed much inside, but you can sit down (before Corvid19) and have a good meal. They are very friendly and offer good service.

Food is good but dining room floors need to be cleaned, need paper towels in bathroom, and tables need to be cleared of plates.

Fast, consistently great food and service.
